From the AE86 through the A90 Supra on a single page

The Toyota lineup at BC Racing runs from the AE86 (the chassis that taught a generation of drivers what a balanced rear-drive coupe could do) through the current A90 Supra (Toyota's return to the serious sports-car business). The 86 and GR86 are heavily BC Racing territory in the US. The shared platform with the Subaru BRZ has built one of the most active aftermarket-supported communities in modern motorsport.

Toyota fitment coverage

Supra across A70 (vintage), A80 (legendary), and A90 (current generation). 86 and GR86 (shared platform with Subaru BRZ). Corolla across AE86 (vintage drift chassis) and GR Corolla (current hot hatch). Celica and MR2 across AW11, SW20, and ZZW30 generations. Camry fitments more limited but available.

Which BC Racing series for Toyota

The BR Series is the volume Toyota answer. A90 Supra street builds, 86 and GR86 spirited drivers, and AE86 vintage restoration projects all run BR Series setups with appropriate spring rates. Typical 86/GR86 setups: 7k/8k or 8k/8k for street, stepping up for track. A90 Supra runs around 10k/10k for street use.

A90 Supra track builds and dedicated GR86 track-day cars step up to the ER Series often. Both chassis reward more aggressive damping when driven hard.

The 86/GR86 drift community runs DS Series setups on drift-focused builds. The platform is light, balanced, and rear-drive. Three things that make it a natural drift chassis. The DS damping orientation pairs with the use case.

Toyota-specific notes

The A90 Supra shares chassis engineering with BMW (Z4 platform). It's still a Toyota for tuning purposes, but the cross-engineering means setup insights sometimes share with BMW Z4 builders. The GR86 and Subaru BRZ are essentially the same car. Fitment knowledge crosses over directly.

AE86 buyers tend to fall into one of two camps: restomod street-build, or dedicated drift practice car. Spring rate selection differs between the two use cases. The chassis was never built for the use the drift community gives it. BC Racing fitments handle the demands.

Cross-platform note

The Subaru BRZ shares the 86 platform exactly. Scion FR-S is the same car under a different badge. Fitment knowledge transfers freely across all three.
