The endurance racing BC Racing coilover
The BC Racing ER Series is the dual-adjustable step up from the BR Series. The ER is what you buy when your use case has moved past single-adjustable damping and you want independent control over compression and rebound. It's the kit BC Racing built for track-day rotation buyers, club racers, time-attack drivers, and endurance racing applications.
What the ER Series is
The ER Series is a dual-adjustable monotube coilover. Compression damping and rebound damping have their own separate adjustment paths. That gives you independent control over how the damper responds to impacts versus how it controls the spring as the suspension returns. The separation matters most on track surfaces. High curb strikes. Sustained corner loads. Repeated heavy braking. A single-adjustable damper has to compromise one motion to handle the other. A dual-adjustable kit doesn't.
Construction steps up over the BR. Larger internal reservoirs on most fitments handle sustained heat through long sessions. More durable internals tolerate the heat and repeated cycling that track use puts on dampers. The kit is built for sustained competition use, not just occasional aggressive driving.
Spring rate options
ER Series spring rates trend higher than BR Series defaults. Track-oriented baseline rates are standard, not optional. Most ER Series kits ship with rates that would be track-spec upgrades on a BR Series kit.
Who buys the ER Series
The serious track day enthusiast logging real track time on a regular schedule. The autocross competitor at the intermediate-to-advanced level. The club road racer. The time-attack driver who's stepped past BR Series capability. The endurance racing competitor for whom damping consistency through long sessions matters more than absolute peak performance.
If you've outgrown single-adjustable damping but you're not preparing a dedicated competition car, the ER is the right step. If you are preparing dedicated competition (race team, professional drift, pro-am time-attack), the BC Racing RM, ZR, or HM Series is worth a look.
Common ER Series fitments
BMW E36 and E46 track builds are heavily ER territory. The chassis rewards independent damping axes. Honda Civic Type R and S2000 track builds step up to the ER often. Subaru STI competition builds, Nissan 350Z and 370Z track applications, time-attack-prepped Mazda RX-7 setups, and serious Mitsubishi Evo track builds are common ER Series destinations.
